Business Development Manager

Reporting to: The Chief Executive

Hours: Part time, c. between 20 – 30 hours a week (Full time = 35hrs) subject to applicant

Relationships: Central office staff, Council, Members, Sponsors, Partners and other stakeholder organisations as required

Location: Flexible: either at our central office in Warwick or working from home and / or hot desking with key stakeholders in London. Regular travel to Warwick (at least 1-2 day a week), London and our members/partners within the UK will be required

Reward package: Competitive (pro rata c. £35k – £42k plus 10% pension contributions, 28 days annual leave)

Overall Purpose

The role of the Business Development Manager is to increase appropriate income generation and develop agreed new business opportunities to support the Association’s 5 year strategic plan, contributing to the achievement of a sustainable annual surplus for the charity which can be reinvested for growth.

The post holder will design, develop and deliver marketing, business development and communications programmes and activities with existing and new audiences.

  • Work with the CEO to develop a 3 year income and communications strategy
  • Diversify and grow current income streams and create new opportunities.
  • Maximise sponsorship acquisition, value and retention.
  • Develop business cases for new developments within income generation.
  • Grow the profile and digital voice of the Association
  • Rebrand the Association of NHS Charities (subject to DHSC licence)
