At team Association HQ, we are very happy this week to have launched the NHS Big Tea with 99 member charities by providing them with a full campaign Tool Kit and campaign assets. I cannot under estimate the accomplishment that this is, for a very small team that currently consists only of April and myself. With the fantastic support from Skating Panda who created the assets and pulled the whole tool kit together; this has definitely been an exercise in digging deep to keep this on track and get this over the line and into members in-boxes on 15th April as promised.
That’s why this short blog focuses on recognising and thanking those behind the scenes who make things happen. For the Association that is our fantastic Membership Administrator, April. With multiple challenges that have headed our way: including the transfer of our entire ICT support and website to two new companies and total change in IT systems, April has completely dedicated herself to ensuring our members are not affected by this. She has ensured that everyone who signed up is part of the campaign and received the information they should, when they should. A huge thank you to April and to Charlotte at Skating Panda.

I can also announce the outcome of our recent Council elections. David Welch, CEO of Leeds Cares and Ian Lush, CEO of Imperial Health Charity have both been elected to Council. Congratulations to both and I look forward to welcoming you to your first Council meetings. Many thanks to everyone who was nominated for election, it is brilliant that we have such support and commitment from our members.

Our next Members Forum meeting and ABM is on 15th May. Please do book to join us for this event. Our fantastic guest speakers include Emma Easton – NHS England; Alan Downey – Chair of South Tees Hospitals Charity; Patrick Boggon, Director, Tarnside Consulting; David Welch – CEO at Leeds Cares; and Ian Lush – CEO at Imperial Health Charity and myself. During our ABM we will be voting on some important developments for the Association including the decision to become an incorporated charity, therefore it is vital that as many member charities attend and have the opportunity to participate in the ABM. You will also have the opportunity to meet and welcome our new team members Seb Hargreaves and Jen Emeny-Green.
